OK allow me to rant about Nintendo for a second... I am convinced that when it comes to Nintendo, there is some kind of mass hypnosis going on with both gamers and media. Aside from Metroid Prime 4, there was absolutely nothing else exciting at their latest Direct. For example, it's cool that Zelda is finally getting her own game but I would've preferred it to have been something that didn't look like a mobile game. And you watch, Nintendo will charge 60 bucks for this damn thing. I'm so sick of Nintendo getting away with charging premium prices for indy level work that couldve been made in Dreams or Roblox! And NOBODY in the media calls them out for it, including this panel! No, we all have to sit here and pretend like Nintendo is doing yeoman's work when in reality, with very few exceptions, the production value of most of their games is that of a mid level indie developer, without the indie level prices! And no, you cannot use the hardware as an excuse! Sony made Uncharted and The Last of Us on hardware like this! Xbox made Halo 3 and Forza on hardware like this! Epic made Gears of War on hardware like this! Bethesda made Skyrim and Fallout on hardware like this! Why is NOBODY calling Nintendo out for purposely putting in such little effort in production quality in so many of their games, yet charging like they're 200 million budget productions??? The media needs to snap out of this love fest and start blasting Nintendo for their bullshit!

The ps4 gen sony was happy selling 120 million consoles and blocking games from coming to xbox. I did not see anyone mad at sony, it's called business. As a matter of fact, he said "buy" way more than "subscribe", and when he did mention subscribing to the game, he said they'll SUPPORT it on other screens

Several value-less comments below the video. - I think rating showcases is dumb. I'm neither going to hand-clap for a platform showcase b/c you want me to join in on your plastic-box bukkake. Nor am I going to slander a showcase on the basis that it didn't have a lot of games for me. Every gamer is different and has different tastes. The only thing that matters to me is the games that I found appealing and I am going to keep track of until release. I'm not going to spend a lot of time on a podcast tearing down a game I think is outside my interest lane b/c of a trailer. So when asked if a game reveal did anything for me, if it didn't, I just say no and move on. I don't expect that every gamer has my same taste in games and I don't need to explain that every podcast. I'm not sure what the issue is, b/c none of the people with negative comments put anything constructive in them. Whether it was you were looking for me to cheerlead XBox for a good showcase, or tear XBox down for a bad one, there are plenty of other channels on UA-cam with that content. Those are as valuable to me as an unboxing video or live reaction shows, or just typical console-warring bullshit. If you are looking for that from me, you don't need to bother coming by.

Most was third party and some "exclusives" are going to inevitable and eventually end up Multiplatform, so I'll give it an "A" for effort and a solid 5/10 for content filling with half being real tangible games from their 1st party.

My expectations arent high, gaming is going through quite a few different pivots at near enough the same time for various different reasons, i will say this though every "show" that goes by im still seeing at least a handful of games id consider playing at the very least.

I am now convinced that most of these guys like Brap and Seed have no idea what they are talking about. Face it, the console industry has changed. For Brap to use Nintendo and Ubisoft as an example just sounds dumb because those games never came to any other platforms but Nintendo. They are not the same.

I think one big reason for the lack of “bangers” is that 2 huge reveal events a year is too frequent. Back when E3 was around, the VGA’s weren’t like that are today. I think even without the industry being shaky, 2 big shows/year is too much.

Brap couldn’t remember what series S problems MS had with Halo Infinite, I’m pretty sure it was the split screen co-op. It ran fine on series X but they cut it. Digital foundry did a video where they tested it.

I don't see any real corollary between the PSVR and PSVita nor was there any "hack" that hurt the Vita back in 2011. Sony abandoning their 1st party support of the Vita(they still supported the store, OS, and had plenty of 3rd party games) didn't stop the handheld from being an amazing place to play. This isn't a business statement, this is about a gamer talking about how fun gaming is. The PSVR2 support? I don't know if Sony has commented about abandoning 1st party support like they did early with the PSVita. The further talking points about VR is more business crap rather than gaming experiences. People here aren't even paying attention to VR game announcments.

VR titles were shown at the state of play last week lol and have been since release..they also releasing free games every month through ps plus. The thing missing is first-party support 3rd party stuff comes out every week

Its funny, consoles were supposed to go away when ipads came out. Consoles were supposed to go away when VR came out. And now people keep saying consoles will go away because of PC. PC has been around longer than consoles. There was a time when they were in a league of their own. Nowadays PC gaming is more linked to console gaming than people want to admit. Majority of games are playable on both, and a lot of times you only really need to upgrade your PC when new consol generations hit. Reason being, most big companies that make video games, aren't really making games that take full advantage of the latest card, the games take many years to make, so they revolve around console generations more than anything. We live in an age where the biggest newest highest quality games, are actually coming from console and in many cases aren't even available on PC for years. That's why PC only gamers get mad at Sony

I don't think the VR games on steam support the features of the psvr2 headset, not the other way around. They could be updated to do so
